An interactive live-stream tour of Verona customized for a high school audience learning Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. A fantastic addition to enrich your curriculum and bring literature to life! Explore fair Verona where Shakespeare set his scene for Romeo and Juliet. On this live virtual tour, you will see the city of these star-crossed lovers, full of dark secrets and symbolic architecture. In addition to the highlights of Juliet’s Courtyard and Romeo’s House, we will walk the streets and squares that still maintain the same functions they had in the Middle Ages; with places for commerce and punishment, dark prisons and lively fountains, bright-colored frescoes and glorious stone lions. The city squares hold history and tales which have evolved throughout time, as have the surrounding ancient buildings; I will show you what’s imitation, fake, and counterfeited, and what’s authentic in these historic landmarks.
